Just a few quick notes this week!
We have a new native tea named 'Gumby Gumby' that went live on the website moments ago. This plant has a long history with aboriginals, along with numerous uses/benefits that can be read in the description.
A focus moving forward will be to greatly expand the native range but more importantly, provide them at a more reasonable price. To be very honest, the price of natives within Australia is inflated far more than it should be and I'm a bit tired of it as local industry is important.
I will be offering Gumby Gumby at around 50% cheaper than others, which still allows for okay margins. Once I have time i'll adjust the pricing for the rest of the native range to follow.
This will be great as it allows me to vaguely follow my initial vision for Tea Life years ago which was a focus on Australian grown, so it will be good to get back to that initial idea.
Ultimo Shop
This has unfortunately been closed as it was too hard to make rent there and would rather use the funds to further grow the range online . It was very fun and I learned a lot for when I'll eventually try again elsewhere. One key mistake was that the place was tooooo big and don't need that much space!
Australia Post
Since we have moved and consolidated everything into the St Marys warehouse, Australia Post has had trouble picking up and getting into a routine with us (this happens with every move). They picked up twice last week only but should be regular starting next week I'm sure.
For this reason, apologies for any delays with shipping Australia Post orders.
I hope everyone has a good weekend!
