Willow Herb Tea

  • Hi Toby - et al.

Firstly, thank you so much for the excellent service & product (affordable).

A few things about the above brew .... Willow Herb or  'Wilowherb'.

    1. The typeset on the packet needs updating. On first appearances Willow would appear to be spelled Wilow. See picWilowherb Tea. Yes pedantic I know, but I used to be an English teacher ! 🤔

    2. I'd be interested if there has been any negative feedback about this tea. Purchased 18th October 2024, with your usual speedy delivery on 23rd Oct. thank you.

To elaborate somewhat: ... having had problems with my bloke plumbing & a UTI since xmas 2023 I've been searching for alternative solutions to Water Vapor Ablation or TURP for BHP (mens business ;). Diet, exercise & presciption drugs appear to have had little effect. So the Willow Tea seemed a worthy trial. I started on the tea last Wed arvo, one weakish cuppa at a time :) & daily over three days. On the Saturday I started to have an ache in the right abdomen (kidney area) although this is nothing new given chronic radiating pain from my L4/5 -S1 joints. The ache persisted & on the Sunday afternoon it started to encroach on all of my stomach area. TA this stage I was thinking I'd eaten something rank although after discussing with the girlfriend we agreed that we'd eaten the same food since Friday eve. She would be feeling the effects by now too. So Sunday morning 4 am I awoke in strife, the pain was delibitating. Hot water bottle, Ginger tea, lots of water & some gaviscon. It settled somewhat by days end but I decided to see my GP the following day to discuss. Am awaiting the results of pathology report with a blood sample provided yesterday. I am not taking any medicines nor have any conditions that would interact negatively with this tea. I'm now on the mend.

So ... any feedback? I thought this avenue may be helpful prior to recommencing with this tea & self testing if the same effect is evident.

Note: nothing contentious or accusative is implied here, am simply after honest feedback while providing my experience. It may or may not be this Willow Herb Tea.

Hopefully there are folk in here with more expertise than I as well.

    Stay awesome. Glenn.

  • Hi Glenn,

    1. I'll double check the other packs of willowherb tomorrow but this is most likely a printing error during production. The machine prints as it's packing and there's definitely a bit of room for error sometimes, but at least everything is done in-house which is how I'd prefer it.

    2. Actually I can honestly say no, we haven't had any negative feedback for this one apart from the taste being bitter and for those people that said it didn't do much for them, whereby it has still helped alot of others.

    3. I can't see any drug interactions listed for this herb or any general contraindications, though I assume the standard allergy rules would still apply. Alot of herbs will list interactions and precautions but I can't seem to find much for this one.

I'm surprised unfortunate things like this don't come up more often due to the at times powerful nature of herbs and more importantly all the different types of bodies consuming them, with a small % of them not mixing too well. It's also very hard to say what would have caused this in particular but if was the willowherb then would have been one of the many compounds contained within, or could also be unrelated.

If the test report shows anything related of interest please let me know though, feel free to email hello@tealife.com.au or even call.

  • @Toby G Great to hear :) I'll stick the kettle on now ... if you see me on the 6 o'clock news you'll know what's happened :)

A Wind in the Willows moment?

  • @Glenn H If going to try again, hopefully you used 1/4 or 1/2 than last time to minimise any negative effects in case it was caused by willowherb. Note standard for this is 3g or so per 250ml cup.
